ULL Energy Institute of Louisiana: Solar Information for Louisiana Residents

Because members of the public are often concerned about potential solar development in their state, public universities are often called upon to provide unbiased answers to common concerns as a resource guide for public officials when making solar-related policy decisions. Two excellent examples are, “Health and Safety Impacts of Solar Photovoltaics,” which was written by the North Carolina Clean Energy Technology Center1 , and “Clean Energy Results, Questions and Answers, Ground-Mounted Solar Photovoltaic Systems,” created by the Massachusetts Clean Energy Center2 . In a similar vein, this document attempts to summarize the issues of particular interest to Louisiana residents related to potential solar energy development.
